Ambitious Businesses Invited to Attend the Bristol Launch of Inspire Elite – ‘the Scale Up leaders’

Business owners and directors in Bristol and the surrounding area are invited to the launch of Inspire Elite - a new service to support ambitious companies wanting to scale up.

The launch on Tuesday March 6 will be held at the Bristol Business School at University of the West of England from 8.30am.

It will also be an opportunity for some of those business owners, directors or decision makers to apply for the prestigious Goldman Sachs “10,000 Small Businesses UK” programme.

The programme provides a high-quality practical education tailored to the needs of business leaders. It offers over 100 hours of teaching designed by leading experts and delivered by Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, Aston University and the University of Leeds. For those who qualify the course is fully funded by the Goldman Sachs Foundation.

Rob Perks, CEO at Inspire Elite, said: “We are delighted to be able to offer highly valuable support to businesses in and around Bristol – those who are ambitious to grow and seek an opportunity to scale up - to further enrich the economy of the South West. Data shows us quite clearly that 77 per cent of UK GDP growth comes from the SME sector.”

“We can offer access to a huge range of resources available from both the public and commercial sectors.”

Nancy Straates, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK Programme Director, said: “We are pleased to be working with Inspire Elite to showcase our Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK programme to businesses in the Bristol area.”

Graduates from the “10,000 Small Businesses UK” programme have included Nikki Ellison, founder of online digital marketing specialist Digirank, based in Temple Gate, Bristol.

She said: “Being part of the Goldman Sachs 10K small business programme has been transformational for my business.  Throughout the programme, you’re learning whilst applying it to your real-life business, all at the same time. The programme teaches you to think big, whilst equipping you with the toolbox to achieve your ambitious goals. Since completing the programme we have grown revenue significantly and now employ a much bigger team.”

Nikki will be joined by Rob Perks, of Inspire Elite, Lily Newman and Jonathan Lawson from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK programme, and others.

The Bristol launch takes place on Tuesday March 6 at the Bristol Business School, University of the West of England, Frenchay Campus, Coldharbour Lane, Bristol, BS34 8QZ.

The event starts at 8.30am for informal networking with the formal programme beginning at 9am. Places are limited, so secure yours now by calling 0117 203 4288 or book here.
