Wiltshire IT Support Services Company Expands with Two New Recruits

Entrepreneurs Mark Adams and Jake Jeffries, founders of Wiltshire-based company The IT Guy, have taken on two new members of staff.

Ben Strange, 20, has joined as an IT support engineer and Adam Burge as a desktop support technician. Both are local to Chippenham where the company is based.

Ben, a former student of Wiltshire College said: “I’m thrilled to be working with Mark and Jake. Already I’ve picked up new skills including customer service and technical expertise. The IT Guy is a fun place to work. We’re a young team and tech is our lives so we naturally keep up with all the latest tech too.”

Alongside Ben is teenager Adam, aged 17, who has recently left school and has begun his apprenticeship at Wiltshire College whilst working with The IT Guy.

Adam said: “I’ve been really impressed with the fact the team at The IT Guy strives to be different. We’re part of a young company wanting to add a modern touch to a popular service. I’ve just come out of full time education, so being in the office is a great environment for me to learn at the start of my career.”

The IT Guy provides unlimited computer support for small and medium sized businesses across the UK. The team specialises in businesses from five employees up to a workforce of 300, and pride themselves on providing amazing customer service at affordable prices.

Co-founder Mark, who’s 41, has worked in IT throughout his career running his first company in 2008. After seven years, and a chance meeting with marketing expert Jake, the two joined forces and launched The IT Guy in 2015.

Mark said: “Over the last two years, the business has been going incredibly well. We’re rapidly growing and have more than doubled our customer base in the space of a year. We’re really excited that Ben and Adam have joined us. Their talents will allow us to continue to expand. As we’ve got busier, they’re already bringing a lot of value to the company.”

The IT Guy clients include London based management organisation Investors in People, Age UK headquarters in Solihull; Wiltshire based John Williams Heating Services and the North London estate agency chain Anthony Pepe.

The IT Guy prides itself on making IT simple and offers packages from as little as £9.99 per month per user. Services available include IT support, hosted Exchange email, online cloud backup, mailbox security, anti-virus support and hosted VOIP telephony.
