Your Total Guide To business
On Wednesday 8th July the bus will visit the city as part of its tour to connect new entrepreneurs and encourage small to medium enterprises.
Cllr Simon Cook, Bristol City Council’s Assistant Mayor for Place said: “This is a brilliant opportunity for Bristol’s business people to get together and learn from each other”.
I would encourage both start-up entrepreneurs and those who are well established to make the most of this event.”
He also went on to say that small businesses are absolutely essential for the city’s economic success.
Bristol City Council is pleased to welcome Start Up Britain to two of the city’s major areas of regeneration and business development.
The bus will be parked at the Filwood Green Business Park, at Filwood Park Lane, from 9.30am until 12.30pm.
It will also be at Isambard Walk, behind Bristol Temple Meads railway station, within the Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone from 1.15pm until 4pm.
The event will provide networking opportunities for local entrepreneurs to share inspiration as well as getting connected to business support organisations on a local and national scale.
Sage, NatWest bank and the Start Up Loans Company will all be there to offer tips as they all represent small businesses.
Those who attend will receive a guidance pack and will also be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win an iPad, a laptop or a hamper full of prizes.
As part of the tour, the Engine Shed, Bristol's high-tech business hub at Bristol Temple Meads, will be hosting an event on hiring a hi-performance team at 3.30pm.
