Book Review: Never Coming Back By Tim Weaver

You loved your last book, but what are you going to read next? Let TGtB's resident book expert help you decide. This month Patrica Ledger reviews thriller 'Never Coming Back' by Tim Weaver.

This is deservedly a real blockbuster of a book.  Gripping, exciting, surprising, it never fails to enthral the reader.

Missing Persons Investigator David Raker is residing in the West Country when two events occur - firstly an unidentified body is washed up on the beach and secondly he is asked by an old friend, Emily, to investigate the disappearance of her sister, brother in law and two nieces who have simply vanished overnight.. No clues have been left at the site of the disappearance, save for an overturned bottle of milk.  The two plots become entwined and as Raker delves into the facts unimagined events unfold, some going back decades.  The action is fast paced and moves from the insularity of the West Country to  brash, seedy Las Vegas.

The action is fast paced, heart stopping, suspenseful and shocking and for lovers of crime fiction (like me) unguessable.  This book is a deserved best seller and a real page turner - I couldn`t put it down.

Tim Weaver is a local author from Bath and this is his fourth David Raker novel.  I will definitely be purchasing the previous three novels and eagerly await his next offering.

I highly recommend this book and look forward to publishing an exclusive interview with Tim Weaver later this year.
