My Bath Bristol

The Bristol & Bath Cultural Destinations Project, which encourages tourists to ‘live like a local’, has launched a new initiative, My Bath Bristol, which invites local people to ‘live like a tourist’.

Each month, the My Bath Bristol newsletter will feature exclusive competitions, behind the scenes opportunities and special discounts to inspire residents to explore the world class cultural and heritage attractions on their doorstep. By spreading the word of their experiences and recommendations to family and friends, residents will help to increase the region’s appeal to visitors2.

January’s My Bath Bristol newsletter included the following offers (which are now closed):

  • The Roman Baths - a Tai Chi session on the terrace followed by breakfast in the Pump Room and a guided tour of the museum.
  • Bristol Museum & Gallery – a tour of the exhibition ‘Masters of Japanese Prints: Life in the City’ with Senior Curator, Kate Newnham, plus a behind scenes look at the work of the museum’s conservation studio.
  • St George’s Bristol – free tickets to the ‘Classical Mixtape’ sessions, bite-size pieces of music in an informal setting.
  • Royal West of England Academy – a unique insight from RWA Director Alison Bevan into the latest exhibition, ‘Albert Irvin and Abstract Expressionism’.

Please note that these offers cannot be found on any website, they are only available to subscribers to the My Bath Bristol newsletter list, which is open to all residents of Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire3.

Residents can sign up to the newsletter at mybathbristol.co.uk – just name, email address and postcode are required. And for the insider guide to culture, arts and heritage in Bath, Bristol and beyond, visit gobathbristol.com
