When Bristol Gyms Will Reopen

From the governments announcement a couple of weeks ago, gyms can now re-open from Saturday 25th July and here's the list of gyms in Bristol reopening and their measures they are putting in place to keep you and them safe!

David Lloyd Long Ashton

There are 3 gyms linked with this chain in the city - Westbury, Emersons Green and Long Ashton - and will be reopening on Saturday, July 25.

Some of its outdoor tennis courts at selected clubs have reopened - including Long Ashton and Westbury.

Measures included by the club:

  • Limiting number of members in certain areas
  • Reduced classes
  • Hand sanitising stations available throughout the club
  • Enhanced cleaning schedules

Pure Gym

The chain has several gyms in the city - including in Harbourside, the city centre and Brislington - which will be reopening on Monday, July 27.

Measures included by the gym:

  • Rearranged gym to ensure safety measures are in place
  • Control the amount of numbers in the gym
  • Deep cleaning every night
  • Self-cleaning stations installed
  • Contactless entry

Nuffield Health

The group has two clubs in Bristol - in Clifton and Stoke Gifford - which will be reopening on July 25.

Measures included by the club:

  • Temperature checks on arrival
  • Social distancing signs
  • One-way systems where possible
  • Limiting the number of members in each area
  • Running smaller and shorter classes

Snap Fitness

With three clubs across the city - in Clifton, Filton and Ashton Gate - Snap Fitness will also be reopening on Saturday, July 25.

Measures included by the clubs:

  • Cleaned 3x daily
  • Hourly cleaning of touch points and equipment

DW Fitness First

The gym chain has two clubs in Bristol - in Hartcliffe and in Filton - and will be reopening on Saturday, July 25.

Everyone Active 

There are several EveryoneActive gyms across the city including in Easton, St Paul’s and Horfield, among others.

They have ensured all customers they will be in touch with them regarding reopening and specific details with their plans in opening their doors safely.
