Hobbs House Bakery

In a nutshell

Established in the 1920's, Hobbs House Bakery is a true family business with bakery supplies delivered and available to buy online and in our bakery shops.

What we think

With skilled bakers working 6 days a week, fuelled on coffee, in the morning they can bring you the freshest handmade bread and patisserie, so Hobbs House Bakery is a great addition to this city.

Turtle Bay

In a nutshell
Following the success of Turtle Bay's first restaurant in Bristol, they're now bringing rum, reggae and jerk to Cheltenham Road with a second restaurant. The big opening is planned for 8th July.

What we think
It's an exciting time for Turtle Bay to be opening a second restaurant in such a vibrant neighbourhood. Not only is it a great location, it's also fantastic for the community too, as the second restaurant will bring new jobs to the popular area.

 

Walkabout

In a nutshell:

Following an incredible £500,000 refurbishment, Walkabout Bristol re-opened on 26th March.

Where is it?

40 Corn Street, Bristol, B1S 1HQ

What we think:

From the best seats in Bristol for sport to legendary nights out, Walkabout is the perfect place for mates to meet up and cheer on their favourite team or groups of revellers to drink and dance the night away. 

Wildwood

In a nutshell:

Wildwood's aim is to serve great tasting fresh food by friendly staff in a relaxed and homely atmosphere.

18/20 Regent street, Clifton, Bristol BS8 4HG

What we think:

A great place to dine with friends and family, Wildwood serves up a great selection of home made pizza, pasta and burgers. If you are looking for a light bite  they do a superb range of salads and have a jam-packed kids menu too.

Birch

In a nutshell: 

Birch is a new restaurant in Bristol serving a short, daily changing menu, reflecting the excellent produce and traditions of the region.

Where is it?

47 Raleigh Road, Southville, Bristol, BS3 1QS

What we think:

What Birch lacks in variety it certainly makes up for in quality, each of one of its carefully prepared dishes are beautifully presented and skilfully made. 

Chandos Fish Bar

In a nutshell: 

There's a new place to grab fish and chips in Bristol. The newly refurbished shop has been fitted out to a highest of standards, to create traditional but contemporary feel..

4 Chandos Road, Redland, Bristol, BS6 6PE 

What we think: 

The delicious menu includes Cod, Haddock and Plaice cooked to order to produce a fresh crispy battered fish. Plus we love Chando's selection of Pieminister pies, good quality pork sausages, wholetail scampi and fishcakes.

The Bristologist

In a nutshell:

Bristology aims to provide you with innovate food and creative cocktails based on the old school practice of mixology.

What we think:

We’re very excited about the launch of Bristology and can’t wait to see what creative concoctions they whip up when they launch on the 10th of November!

Ward and Williams

In a nutshell:

Ward and Williams serves you a fantastic selection of teas and coffees, and delicious treats for breakfast and lunch, from a trendy vintage Citroen H van!

Where is it?

Narrow Quay, Bristol

What we think:

We love the vintage van, but we love the food more! This is the perfect place to grab a quick bite to eat on the go - and we especially love their coffee!

Veeno

In a nutshell:

The Italian wine cafe is set to open it's sixth store in Bristol 

Where is it?

Bristol Tempe Quays

What we think:

Serving up the finest of wines from the owner's family vineyard in Sicily and accompianied by their traditional spuntini (appetizers to compliment the wine), Veeno is the place to be to try the highest quality of wine's in a cool, atmospheric setting.

Chicken Shed

In a nutshell:

A chicken shop in CARGO which serves up only ethically sourced, organic fried and roasted chicken, with a balcony overlooking the harbour.

Wapping Wharf

What we think:

Serving up delicious organic chicken in a variety of different ways and with a beautiful view of the harbour, this is a great new addition to CARGO.

 

Gourmet Burger Kitchen

In a nutshell

This well-loved burger chain comes to Cribbs Causeway promising premium patties and amazing side dishes in their third location in Bristol.

What we think

You can't go wrong with a good burger! With the menu Gourmet Burger Kitchen - or GBK for short - have on offer, you're sure to find something for everyone!
