REMEMBRANCE EVENTS IN BRISTOL 2019

Every year, Bristol remembers those who lost their lives in war with commemorative events on and around Remembrance Armistice Day.

There are a breadth of services, Poppy displays and Remembrance parades in Bristol.

Here's a breakdown of Armistice Day events in and around Bristol:

 

Remembrance Day Parade

About: 1st Bradley Stoke Scouts Remembrance Day Parade at the Willow Brook Centre. 

When: Sunday 10th November - Parade will march from the Jubilee Centre at approx. 10:15am.

Where: Willow Brook Centre, Bradley Stoke, BS32 8BS

 

Remembrance Sunday Church Parade Service

About: A family service of Remembrance, suitable for all ages, incorporating a two minute silence. Hosted by Totterdown Methodist Church and Totterdown Scouts (175th Bristol)

When: Sunday 10th November, 10.30-11.30

Where: Totterdown Methodist Church, Bushy Park, BS4 2EG

 

Letters from the home front - Remembrance Sunday matinee premiere

About: The loves, losses, grit, and fortitude of World War 2 told in dance in a series of letters between those at the front and those left behind.

When: Sunday 10th November, 3pm-4.30pm

Where: Trinity Centre, Trinity Road, Bristol BS2 0NW

 

Remembrance Day Special 

About: Jack Calloway & His Dance Orchestra returns to The Old Duke on Remembrance Day, following the parade and the afternoon band to bring dancehall favourites and radio rhythms from the 1930's and 1940's.

When: Sunday 10th November, 3.30pm-6.30pm
