The NSBRC Guide to Project Management

A one-day project management course designed for first-time homebuilding projects, covering sequencing, budgeting, trades and site setup, delivered by an experienced architect and construction project manager.

The NSBRC Guide to Project Management is a classroom-style training day for anyone planning their first homebuilding project, covering the fundamentals of managing a build from planning through to completion.

The course is led by qualified architect and experienced construction project manager Lucy Nylander.

What the course covers

• Project management basics: sequencing a build, management options, build routes, programme management

• Budgeting: setting a budget, controlling expenditure, insurances and warranties, VAT reclaim

• Trades and materials: sourcing and managing trades, pricing, contract options, sourcing materials, quality control

• Site preparation and set up: site management, avoiding pitfalls, health and safety, completion

Course times: 09.00am - 05.30pm

Price: £165.00 (in-person) or £85.00 (virtual), VAT inclusive.
