Hi Lydia – Tell us more about you

I am originally from Nottingham and after visiting the wonderful City of Bristol for many years decided to move and live here.

I studied Law at University and went on to work for a Law firm working in Clinical Negligence assisting with advice and litigation.

Following on from having my daughter I needed a career that would enable me to work on a part-time basis. Being offered a job at Rombourne’s Bristol Serviced Offices has enabled me to do just that and has provided me with a great work/life balance.

What is your role at Rombourne?

I now work as a receptionist at Aztec West which involves being the first point of contact for the clients and visitors entering the building. I am really enjoying my new role and being part of the Rombourne Team.

What’s a typical day like for you at Rombourne?

A typical day will always start with a lovely hot cup of tea and ensuring everyone within the Rombourne team also has a cup!

Daily responsibilities include providing exceptional customer service, answering telephone calls on behalf of our clients, putting calls through and taking messages. Coordinating meeting room bookings and ensuring all communal areas are regularly sanitised!

What is your favourite thing about working at Rombourne as a Receptionist Administrator?

It would have to be the working environment, everyone is always happy, friendly, and willing to help and support each other.

What’s the most challenging aspect of your role and why?

I am finding everything about my role exciting and welcome any future challenges as great learning experiences.

What essentials do you take to work, and why?

A large water bottle to keep me hydrated, my note pad and my favourite pen!

What do you enjoy doing when you are not at Rombourne?

I absolutely love the City of Bristol and visiting many of the local attractions Bristol has to offer, such as the Clifton Suspension Bridge and taking my daughter to local parks. My favourite being St Andrews Park, a landscaped Victorian Park.

I also enjoying travelling back to see my family in the East Midlands and spending my time at David Lloyd Westbury gym which I enjoy with my daughter.

What would be your number one reception etiquette tip?

Always come to work with a smile!

What are the main advantages of renting an office from Rombourne in Bristol?

The offices are already set up and ready immediately making everything smooth and stress free. Many things that you would normally need to sort out with running an office are completely taken care for you, such as the broadband and Wi-Fi are set up so your businesses can literally move in and work that day with no disruptions.
