Top 3 Trends for Spring

Although it may still feel cold and look grey outside, it’s Spring! One step closer to Summer. As the days become longer, we have the perfect trends and looks for you to brighten up those dull winter outfits and start budding, beautiful looks in time for the sunshine!

Pastels

The overwhelming trend during Spring is the notorious pastels. In your Springtime palette you can expand your definition of pastel in so many ways! And remember pastels can enrich any complexion, so don’t ever feel like you can’t wear it. You can have any colour from a baby pink, peach, lilac, baby blue, lemon yellow, sage or mint green! The most talked about hue this Spring already is Sage green. A colour many of you have probably not even thought of wearing before but as they say, don’t mock it before you try it! This gentle colour looks delightful as the sun starts surfacing because it’s not over the top but just adds a dash of colour to your outfit as it catches the spring light.

We would recommend that pastels are best worn either in a top, perhaps in a sweet milkmaid style, a flattering midi/tea length dress or cute cigarette pants to fully enhance Spring vibes! The milkmaid style is so complimenting on anybody with the puffed sleeves as the feature to the top. The tea length dress looks best when the fabric is light and floaty just below the knee to suit any body length or shape and keep you looking modest!

Denim

The only trend that reinvents itself and is forever evolving is, Denim. The iconic versatility of denim is the perfect way to enrich spring ambiances, whether its a jacket, a pair of jeans, a dress or skirt, you can be triumphant in this trend! This useful textile comes in many shades for you to wear for any occasion or weather. Whether you’re going out for coffee or going on a night out, you can count on denim to dress you either up or down as well as giving off those spring feels.

For this flowering season our recommendation for denim pieces are the iconic mom jeans or a bold denim jacket. The high-waisted, relaxed fit, mom jeans are a classic outfit pull in any shade. They are best showcased in a light/bleached shade of denim which makes them perfect for any occasion and for the introduction to Spring! The denim jacket during Spring is an unspoken fashion trend. Everyone opts for a denim jacket to go with any outfit this time of the year because of its boldness yet lightness. Denim jackets look flattering in any length or shade whether its cropped or just below the hips and you can rock it with any outfit.

Prints

A statement print is an unspoken rule when it comes to spring fashion! Don’t ever be shy of mixing prints and patterns together. The conventional spring prints like florals and polka dots make their usual appearances in the springtime months, while the ferocious animal prints have started to creep into the trends. Prints can make any outfit stand out.

There's no denying the appeal of animal print – it's bold, daring and makes a statement all by itself. Cheetah and snakeskin prints have dominated 2019 and 2020 trends and continue to do so throughout the spring 2020. Animal print can supply some of the most striking styles and spice up a few of those dull, neutral colour schemes within an outfit!

Fashion’s ongoing love affair with floral prints continues for Spring 2020! The blossoming of flowers means the beginning of spring and this is where we have got the pretty floral prints. You can have fun with floral in anything from dresses and skirts to tops and trousers!

Many of our high street retailers have bought out polka dots this year already and its been a hit with everyone! The polka dot is dictating the prints department lately teaming up with the latest trends like organza and milkmaid! Whether you’re looking for a cute day outfit or something a little more striking for a night out, polka dot can do both! This spring we recommend polka dot styled in tea dresses, tops or cigarette trousers.

You can put all these looks and trends together this spring, here’s a few high street retailers and online retailers that can help you:
