Corto.alto

Mercury-nominated Scottish jazz innovator corto.alto performs live at The Trinity Centre in Bristol.

Corto.alto is a live gig at The Trinity Centre, Bristol on Thursday 4 February 2027, starting at 7.30pm.

Scottish musician Liam Shortall, aka corto.alto, brings a forward-facing jazz sound built from frenetic improvisations, wonky production and genre-spanning compositions. The project earned a Mercury Music Prize nomination for the debut album Bad With Names, the AIM Award for Breakthrough Artist in 2025, and Jazz FM’s UK Jazz Act Of The Year and The Innovation Award.

Now signed to Ninja Tune, the band has built an international live reputation through extensive touring.
