Private Peaceful

A moving one-person stage adaptation of Michael Morpurgo’s novel following Tommo Peaceful on the eve of battle.

Private Peaceful returns to the stage in a powerful one-person production based on Michael Morpurgo’s novel. On the eve of battle, Tommo Peaceful looks back at the moments that shaped his life: family warmth, first love and the bond with his brother, set against the horrors of war.

Adapted and directed by Simon Reade, a single actor conjures a world of characters and landscapes in a heartwarming and heartbreaking reminder of the human cost of conflict.
