Founder Liam Hirt runs two B Corp-certified, carbon-neutral distilleries in Bristol: alongside Psychopomp, which produces gins, he heads up Circumstance Distillery in Whitehall, producing other spirits and was the first distillery in over 80 years to produce whisky in Bristol. Psychopomp and Circumstance are widely regarded to be two of the most experimental distilleries in the UK. Customers will be able to buy the award-winning products in the onsite shop also - the team will be on hand to offer expert advice on all of the spirits in store, with products ranging from canned Negronis, to tasting packs, and Psychopomp’s signature Woden Gin, and Circumstance’s English Whiskies and Rum.
Liam Hirt says:
“Thankfully we are now in a position to open our doors again and welcome customers back to our space for post-work drink. We want to say a massive thank you to the community around St Michael’s Hill for welcoming us back with open arms. It has been great to see so many friendly and familiar faces start to come in and visit us again - we look forward to keeping the locals in good spirits.”
Bar Manager Cally Way says:
“We can’t wait to welcome discerning drinkers to our cosy bar at Psychopomp Microdistillery. Our refined drinks menu has really been distilled down to showcase the spirits that Psychopomp and Circumstance produce right here in the heart of Bristol.”
In addition to the bar opening, the venue will also host events such as gin-making classes, whisky tastings, gin tastings and cocktail masterclasses and seasonal workshops. The space is also available for private hire, accommodating up to 20 guests.
