Bristol Community Big Band

A free big band music series in the Bristol Old Vic foyer, led by Jonny Bruce and featuring jazz vocalist Victoria Klewin, celebrating swing-era classics with special guests.

Bristol Community Big Band returns for a series of free, high-energy big band evenings in the Bristol Old Vic foyer.

Made up of non-professional musicians from across Bristol and the South West, the band is led by trumpet legend Jonny Bruce and joined by jazz vocalist Victoria Klewin. The programme celebrates swing-era favourites, from Duke Ellington to Dizzy Gillespie, with special guests from the Bristol jazz scene and space for dancing.

Free dance classes: Solo Jazz / Lindy Hop (7–9pm in Coopers’ Hall) are promoted alongside these evenings.
