About: From 18 October, those who dare to enter will experience the psychological paranoia of total darkness, confinement and an assault on all the senses as they venture over five floors of torment, whilst encountering hellish characters that tap into our most deep-seated fears…
After Dark – nights to die for challenges visitors to:
- Conquer 10 chambers in a 300-year-old house in total darkness.
- Navigate dream-state labyrinths, dead ends and confined spaces.
- Endure physical manifestations from the darkest corners of your subconscious.
- Venture into the foreboding underbelly of the building.
- Devour curious mind-bending shots in the bizarre Carnival Bar.
Date: After Dark will run at Mary Shelley’s House of Frankenstein from 18 October – 1 November 2025 on selected dates. Evening Escape Rooms, which include entry to After Dark horror nights, are also available.

Bedgebury Florilegium Society Exhibition at Westonbirt Arboretum
Where: Westonbirt Arboretum. The Downs - along the path by the Treetop Walkway to the main facilities.
About: This autumn, Westonbirt Arboretum is proud to host a stunning outdoor exhibition in celebration of their sister site Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest, marking their centenary this year.
Created by the Bedgebury National Pinetum Florilegium Society, the exhibition features 18 exquisite botanical illustrations of trees found in both arboreta. Running for approx. 400 meters, each artwork tells a unique story, highlighting the beauty of the trees and the vital conservation work carried out at Bedgebury. These illustrations are not only visual masterpieces but also serve as scientific records, continuing the centuries-old tradition of botanical art.
Date: Daily throughout autumn, 9am - 4:30pm

About: This autumn, bring the whole family to Westonbirt Arboretum and explore their Family Autumn Trail, a hands-on adventure celebrating the season’s spectacular colours, textures, and creativity.
Pick up your free trail pack from the Welcome Building, including a sketchbook, trail map and crayon. Each trail panel features a fun activity linked to the trees and landscape around you, along with seasonal science facts and drawing prompts to spark curiosity and creativity.
Suitable for ages 5+.
Trail goes past their newest natural play areas.
