Top 10 Outdoor Activities in Bristol

Summer has officially arrived, so we thought we’d create a list of the best outdoor activities that you could try! We know your eager to enjoy our glorious British summer weather and with that in mind, this guide will give you great ideas of new things to try to keep you busy and out in the lovely sun!

1. Hot air-balloon ride

Bristol plays host to the annual Balloon Festival, so why wouldn't you try out a hot air balloon? It's a brilliant way to see your city from a different perspective and enjoy the fresh air from up above. The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta will return to Ashton Court this year on 12th - 15th August. The spectacular free event sees over 100 hot air balloons taking off at dawn and dusk as well as the famous Night Glows when the balloons light up the sky in time to the music.

2. Ride some waves

If you love a spot of surfing but can't get to the beach, Bristol can bring that to you! The Wave is the first inland-surfing destination of its kind, where people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can experience the joy of surfing and its many physical and mental health benefits. 9. Visit the Zoo!
