Why Didn’t I Get Married? is a courtroom comedy-drama that shines a spotlight on relationship pressures within the Black majority church, using humour and debate to explore love, faith, community expectations and accountability.
In the story, a group of church women take drastic action by launching a class-action lawsuit against the church for emotional trauma and “church hurt,” drawing audiences into the role of judge and jury.
