Snapped: Bristol Green Capital Launch 2015

Bristol celebrated the start of it's European Green Capital status with a daring high-wire stunt 100ft above the city.

The high-wire act, dubbed Bridging the Gap, took place between two warehouses near to the Cumberland Basin.

The heart racing stunt was designed to symbolise the difference between the notion of a green lifestyle and actually living one. 

Bristol is the first UK city to be given Green Capital Status. The city follows in the footsteps of previous title holders Copenhagen, Stockholm, Hamburg, Vitoria-Gasteiz and Nantes. 

Bristol will hold the title until 2016, when Ljubljana, in Slovenia, takes over.
