Clarks Village Raises over £1040 for Martha Care

Easter weekend saw Clarks Village raise over £1,040 for its 2015 charity partner, Martha Care.

Over the Easter Holidays, thousands of mini daffodils decorated the windows of 90 of the village’s shops, restaurants and cafes whilst the staff battled it out on Facebook to win the Best Dressed Window competition.

Clarks Village’s Facebook fans were pleased to announce GAP as their winner, closely followed by Jane Clayton and Villeroy & Boch in third place. The lucky winners received a hamper of fabulous prizes to reward their hard work and creativity.

As well as the daffodils, throughout Easter, children were invited to take part in an egg-citing Easter egg hunt around the village and shoppers had the chance to win a luxury Lindt hamper worth £50.

Lucy Graham, Marketing Manager at Clarks Village said, “The Village really came to life this Easter with so much going on throughout the village, enhanced by the great spring weather. The increase in shoppers over the Easter weekend provided us with an ideal opportunity to raise money for Martha Care and we were really taken back by the generosity of our customers. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated and we are now confident that we can reach our target of £10,000 by the end of this year. Now that Easter is over, our gardeners are busy replanting the daffodils ready for next spring – so shoppers can enjoy them for years to come”.

Emma Crosweller of Martha Care added, “We are continuously grateful for the support of Clarks Village and this donation will make a huge difference to the charity. We are now busy planning and looking ahead to our next event in the village, Yellow Day on Sunday the 24th of May.’

Less than 20 minutes from the M5, Clarks Village offers shoppers traditional paved walkways, beautiful landscaped gardens, a stylish restaurant terrace with indoor and outdoor dining, a choice of coffee shops and an unrivalled selection of over 90 discount designer and high street stores offering up to 60% off.
