How We Are Thanking The NHS

Never before has it been so startlingly obvious how much hospital staff care about their work. Although, all the NHS are working incredibly hard day in, day out to try and tackle this horrible virus. We as a nation are doing all we can to make their lives easier and trying to protect them at all costs. Show them we care a little more by doing these small gestures.

Rainbows

Our smaller members of the communities are showing their appreciation to their NHS workers by making and painting huge, colourful Rainbows and placing them in their windows. As well as showing a gesture of appreciation to the NHS they also convey a message of solidarity and hope to the community and that we are all in this together.

The main reason for the rainbow symbol is that its colourful and is there to cheer the NHS on and cheer people up who walk by.

You can do this too, if you haven’t already, by either printing off a rainbow to colour in or make one yourself using paper or the back of wallpaper or a cardboard box. Paint the rainbow on and a sun in the corner and a message saying, ‘Thank you NHS’. Then place them in your front windows for everyone to see!

Clapping

Since 26th March, the whole nation is coming together and taking part in clapping for the NHS at 8pm every Thursday for the foreseeable future. It’s been put in place by the nation to thank the incredible national health service workers for all their continuous hard work in fighting the battle against Coronavirus.

We can all take part in the clapping from outside our homes whether it be in the garden, balconies, in the street or from our windows.

Here at Team Total we have been taking part in the clapping:

Discounts and shopping

We are all trying our hardest to thank the NHS for their valiant work in fighting off this awful virus. Another way we are doing so is giving them dedicated shopping hours, allowing them time to do their shopping and being able to have all the advantages other people have that they might not have had due to their ever-changing shifts.

We are also giving them freebies like coffees and food when they visit specific places to help them along in breaks and lunches to show how much we do appreciate their work.

They are receiving huge discounts for online clothing stores to treat themselves to and to be able to wear out when we get through this horrible stage.
